Successful Open Gardens Day

The 8th June was a glorious sunny day and this was reflected in the wonderful gardens that opened.   As the photographs show each garden had it own unique elements from roses, arches, alliums,  water features, mosaics and other garden objet d’art to outdoor dining and fireplaces.

In total £1,140 was raised for the charity RP (retinitis pigmentosa) Fighting Blindness. The Gene Team will use this money as part of their research programme into this inherited retinal disease which affects all age groups. First signs are difficulties with night and peripheral vision.

A fuller report on the day will appear in the next edition of Brentham News.
