A planning application has been submitted by the Brentham Club to build a two storey, three bedroom house on Meadvale Road, opposite Vivian Green. The house has been designed to blend in with traditional Brentham architecture, and the land is currently unused.
It is understood that it will be a condition of consent that all funds raised must be spent on restoring and maintaining the Clubhouse, which is a Grade II listed building.
The Brentham Society is broadly in favour of this proposal, as it will safeguard the future of the Clubhouse which is the focal point of the estate. The society will be submitting a detailed response to the Council in due course.
