Planning Applications

The Brentham Society is advised by Ealing Planning Department of all submitted planning applications relating to the Brentham Conservation Area.

At one time nearby residents and those likely to be affected by an application were informed by Ealing Council. This reminded them that they had an opportunity to comment. Ealing Council no longer does this but continues to inform The Brentham Society for comment. We are providing details here of applications notified to the society.

Over the last 10 years the Society has been notified of 461 applications. Details of the outcome of these are shown below. The number of annual applications reached the peak of 58 (more than 1 per week) in 2021, equalling the  number in 2015. Each application, some of which are quite complex, requires careful consideration by The Society.

Overall some 85% of applications are granted.

Applications for replacement windows and doors continue to rise as a percentage of all applications and in the last five years account for over half of all applications.

Lists of applications submitted during the last ten years can be found here: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 2021 2022 2023 (the lists include their APPREF).

Users can find out more about an individual application by visiting the Ealing Council Planning Department website here  and searching their database using the APPREF or by entering an address.
