Various garden-related activities and events take place in Brentham Garden Suburb as follows:

Brentham Open Gardens

This is an annual event normally held in June, which often includes a plant sale. Money raised from tickets, plants and teas is donated to a local charity.

Front garden awards

Front gardens in Brentham are judged in spring, summer and autumn. The winners are announced in Brentham News and the awards are presented at the Brentham Society AGM. A Rose Bowl is awarded for the best overall garden.

Tree bed planting

In recent years some Brentham residents have cultivated flowers around their local street trees. In 2023 a project to increase the number of planted tree beds was established, to maintain and improve the look of the estate.

Brentham Gardening Group

There is an informal group of Brentham residents who meet monthly from March to October to discuss a variety of gardening topics. As it meets in members’ homes a limited number of people can be accommodated, so there may be a waiting list. This is reviewed annually or when a place becomes available.
