The Brentham Society is advised by Ealing Planning Department of all submitted planning applications relating to the Brentham Conservation Area.
At one time nearby residents and those likely to be affected by an application were informed by Ealing Council. This reminded them that they had an opportunity to comment. Ealing Council no longer does this and so we are providing details here of applications notified to the society.
Users can find out more about an individual application by visiting the Ealing Council Planning Department website here and searching their database using the APPREF (see below) or by entering an address.
The number of applications reached the peak of 58 (more than 1 per week) in 2021, equalling the number in 2015. Over 86% were granted with 2 still pending (the average over the last 8 years being 80%).
Applications for replacement windows and doors continue to rise as a percentage of all applications and in the last three years account for over half of all applications while those for extensions or loft conversions steadily rises, now accounting for over 40%.
